upcoming events

We are living in a time when our attention is harvested by corporations auctioning it off in real-time. We are bombarded by information in amounts that would have overwhelmed our ancestors. It is so important that we can reclaim our attention and consciously direct it where we want to.

This is a historical exploration of how we got to the era of attention capitalism, its key features, and how it might be affecting our bodies, spirits, and communities. A group discussion will follow, with the intent to identify ways in which we can collectively reclaim our attention spans and enhance clarity and joy in the sea of noise. Everyone is welcome.

Yoga for Self Regulation

With Sandra Guilfoyle, mental health and somatic therapist and RYT200 teacher.

In this workshop you will learn the language of body sensations and explore how your nervous system can find calm and rest in your everyday life. A deeper understanding of how your nervous system works and the way yoga, breathing, vagal toning and mindful movement will help ease feelings of anxiety, stress and depression. These slow nourishing practices have benefits such as improving focus and concentration, improving sleep, reducing stress and providing more balance and relaxation in your life.

"Samastah has helped me to look

inward and really see myself with grace and

compassion. It is where I have received support, encouragement, and guidance to continue to

look at myself, and my life, while finding ways to love and accept myself – all of me – just as I am. "

Dana Sladowski

"I would give this studio 10 stars if I had the option, Maura & Joseph are absolutely wonderful to practice with & learn from! I started the yogic development & embodiment course about 3 months ago & have also been taking the yin & hatha classes, all of which have far exceeded my expectations! The amount of healing & growth I've had since I started here is amazing & I absolutely recommend practicing here."

Cassie Leger

"This space is a total gem. If your heart is seeking beauty and belonging, give Samastah a try. Maura and Joseph are gifted teachers who craft their classes to meet the needs of the students who are present. Strongly recommend for postpartum healing. Oh and they sing to you too! Maura has a voice like a bell."

"One of the very best yoga studios I have ever been to. Every time I have practiced here, it has been a great workout, and a true mind exercise. Joseph has the gift! Really a wonderful leader.
The studio is less of a modern work out yoga gym, and more of a traditional eastern/spiritual yoga center"
